Kingswood
selected as one of Washington Counties
2008 Small Businesses of the Year
Kingswood Golf Club is located at 111
Country Route 41 in Hudson Falls. Founded 18 years ago by Meg's
father, Mike Woodbury, this affordable and challenging golf
course is still family owned and operated. Mike's family
operated Woodbury Lumber Co. for 88 years. He always had a
passion for golf, and after selling the lumber company, a friend
found this beautiful land on which to build the course.
Construction started in 1990 and the club opened in 1992. A few
years ago Meg and her husband, Erik, moved from Boston to help
run the business. Meg is the President and Eric serves as VP,
General Manager and Superintendent. They live in Hartford. With
50% of the customer base from Fort Edward and Hudson Falls,
Kingswood enjoys a lot of repeat business from members who
joined the club at the beginning. They also offer special senior
pricing and host charity tournaments.
